Voice Case Information Service (MCVCIS)

The Multi-Court Voice Case Information System (McVCIS) provides callers with free access to limited court case information via a toll-free telephone number.  The public may call 1-866-222-8029 with a touchtone telephone 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to obtain the most requested information about filed cases in [court name]

When dialing you will be prompted for the following:

1) Language - Press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish

2) First letter of State name - Press 9 for W

3) Select State or territory - Press 4 for Wisconsin

4) Select a District - Press 4 for Western

5) Select a case type - Bankruptcy (1), Civil (2), Criminal (3)

Options for searching for Civil and Criminal cases with McVCIS include:

• Defendant (both individual and corporation)

• Plaintiff (both individual and corporation)

• Case number.

When searching by case number, the application asks for the 7-digit case number, which is the 2-digit year and 5-digit case number.  Do not include the office code, which is the leading digit before the year.  If a case number has fewer than 5 digits, be sure to include leading zeros.

For example:

• For case number:   3:25-cv-00585, enter 2500585.

• For case number:  1:25-cv-12, enter 2500012.
