Access to Telephone and Video Hearings

Tuesday, April 22, 2025

Public access to court proceedings that are held by telephone or video conference is available by calling the clerk's office at (608) 264-5156 at least one hour prior to the scheduled time of the proceeding. Persons granted remote access to proceedings are reminded of the general prohibition against photographing, recording, or rebroadcasting of federal court proceedings, including those held by telephone or video conference. Recording of a federal court proceeding is strictly prohibited. See Federal Court: Media Basics - Journalist's Guide. Members of the press and the public are expected to mute their devices during telephone and video hearings and to not disrupt proceedings in any manner. Violation of these rules may result in the denial of entry to future hearings or other sanctions deemed necessary by the court.
