Thanksgiving Closure

November 23, 2015


The U.S. District Court will be closed on Friday, November 27. For purposes of Fed. R. Civ. P. 6 and any other Federal Rules governing the computation of time for filing with the District Court or the Bankruptcy Court, time periods during which the court is closed are considered legal holidays. Career Opportunity: Court Reporter

The U.S. District Court is seeking a Certified Court Reporter for the position of Official Court Reporter. This position is part-time for 8 hours/week. To qualify, the candidate must be a high school graduate or equivalent, and must possess at least 10 years of official court reporting experience and have obtained their CRR certification from the National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) or passed an equivalent qualifying exam.

Assignment of Cases

The District Court has issued a new administrative order 322 regarding the assignment of cases in the Western District of Wisconsin.  Order 322 establishes general rules for assignment by the clerk's office.
