Anita M. Boor has been appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Western District of Wisconsin.

Magistrate Judge Boor was selected for the position in November of 2023. She took the oath of office on Monday, May 6, 2024. She replaces Magistrate Judge Stephen L. Crocker, who held the position for 32 years.

Magistrate Judge Boor will be assigned a share of the court's civil caseload, and will be the referral judge on all other civil matters. Magistrate Judge Crocker, now in recall service, will continue to handle pretrial criminal matters until July 15, 2024.
