The following minimum requirements are needed in order to use CM/ECF:
- A computer running a Windows or Macintosh operating system.
- Software used to create PDF documents from a word processing system, such as Adobe Acrobat.
- A PDF viewer, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download available here). Note: To view dockets and electronically filed documents through the PACER system, users must access CM/ECF with a PACER login and password. Register for a PACER account here or call 1-800-676-6856.
- An Internet browser, such as Netscape or Internet Explorer.
- Internet access.
- An e-mail address to receive the orders and electronic notices of case activity.
- Access to a scanner if documents that are not electronic need to be imaged.
